question 7 - evaluation

looking back at your preliminary task what do you feel you have learnt in the progression of it to the full product?
the importance of planning and organisation to avoid production obstacles, and how to overcome them if they do occur.

what have you learnt about technologies in the process of constructing this product?
i learnt a lot, because i had never done anything to do with media before, so i learnt how to use the camera, the boom, the zoom, how to edit, and computer software such as garage band

how did you attract / address your audience?
we used conventions of the thriller genre to attract thriller fans

who would be the audience for your media product?
secondary audience of people above 25, if their big thriller fans, and scary movie fans. 

question 3 - evaluation

what kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
cinemas, the british film institution for publicity and to actually distribute your films for people to see it.

question 2 - evaluation.

how does your media project represent particular social groups?
our main character was a young adult and as a group we recognised that teenagers and young adults were usually represented as quite unaware not very clever. We didnt want this to be the case in our film, we wanted to make it clear that the situation was out of our characaters hands, and that she couldnt really help what was going on.

how does your media project use develop and challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
we were inspired by the opening sequence in 'The Usual Suspects' you never get too see the villians face, which we thought was really interesting and helped build up tension and suspense so we decided to do this also.
