3.1 What i learnt by doing the preliminary exercise.

The preliminary exercise taught me a lot about camera work and technique. As someone who has had very little experience with a camera the task has made me a lot more confident about setting up the camera and the shots and filming them. during the filming process i learnt how to frame shots so that everything that is needed to be seen is clearly in the shot. I also learnt how to use the camera, including how to play the tape back and how to record, which was all completely new to me. Also during the process i was asked to set up the tripod which at first i thought was very complicated but when i had a go i found it to be quite simple.
The storyboard we used wasn't extremely complicated but there were quite a few complicated shots that we needed to set up. We worked as a team and the exercise taught me to work with people that i wouldn't necessarily choose too. As a group, at first we thought the prospect of filming this task to be quite daunting however when we relaxed and used our initiative we got on quite well and completed the task efficiently.

  1. A good start Chloe, well done.

You have outlined your experience of the preliminary exercise so far. Make sure you think about this blog as an analytical piece of writing. It must do much more than outline what you have done. It must explain your choices and the effect these are intended to and do eventually have on your construction.

Remember that uploading screen grabs and using a variety of formats is key to creating a successful blog to support your construction.

  2. Disappointing to see you have not added to this after the feedback I gave you in class and with the time you have had. This is a Level 1 answer and needs developing with specific details, illustrated by screen grabs.
